The Hankison E1-20 is an activated carbon oil vapor/odor removal precision filter cartridge from SPX Flow Hankison, commonly used as a final-stage ultra-precision filtration device in compressed air systems. It is specifically designed to remove oil vapor (odor) and ultrafine particles from compressed air.
A pre-filter is essential: Activated carbon is highly susceptible to saturation by liquid water and high concentrations of liquid oil, leading to its failure. Therefore, a refrigerated dryer/desiccant dryer, along with a Grade 5 (E5-20) or Grade 3 (E3-20) condensing pre-filter cartridge, must be installed before the E1-20 cartridge.
